Namdhari’s Fresh Foods, with its headquarters in Bangalore is a progressive supplier of quality food products in India. Fresh food is kept cool and this cooling is critical to the preservation of quality. With a view to reducing energy, while at the same time having reliable cooling, Namdhari asked Protronix Energy Private Ltd. to monitor and treat an open frame food cooler at one of its stores.
The City of Mountain View is located in the San Francisco Bay Area and has a population of about 75,000 persons. The City has an aggressive goal to reduce its energy consumption. Realizing that the electricity used for air conditioning represents a large portion of its total electricity usage, the City engaged Power Knot to help reduce the consumption of energy.

The United States Social Security Administration (SSA) is an independent agency of the United States federal government that administers Social Security, a social insurance program consisting of retirement, disability, and survivors’ benefits. The agency has 10 regional offices (of which Richmond is one). The agency engaged Power Knot to treat a computer room air conditioning (CRAC) unit.
J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines grows grapes on 2900 acres in California. From this they produce a variety of wines with bold, concentrated flavors. J. Lohr takes great care to preserve the environment which involves sustainable farming, safe management of pests, water conservation, and energy conservation. With a view to reduce the energy consumption at one winery, J. Lohr engaged Power Knot to improve the efficiency of an air conditioning unit.
Layer42 is a company that operates data centers in Silicon Valley. Air conditioning is critical to the operation of the data center. If the a/c fails, the computers in the data center may fail denying service to hundreds of thousands of users. After a thorough review of the risks and benefits, Layer42 asked Power Knot to install with its Synthetic Refrigerant Additive in the three chillers made by Carrier at their facility in Santa Clara, California.
Power Knot treated a four ton (14 kW) roof-top packaged air conditioning unit with its Synthetic Refrigerant Additive (SRA) at the Mission Valley Elementary School in Fremont, California. After treatment, the efficiency of the unit increased by over 16%, resulting in savings in electricity cost and increasing the air conditioning cooling capacity for 32 students in their classroom.
The airport in San Jose is located in the capital of Silicon Valley and offers flights to locations throughout the USA as well as Mexico and Canada. It is a critical hub for American Airlines and Southwest Airlines, and serves a total over 9 million passengers per year. Management at San Jose Airport engaged Power Knot to treat the air conditioning system that serves the communications room.
The Mark Hopkins Hotel in San Francisco is one of the most prestigious hotels in the city. It takes pride in the care and comfort of its guests. The refrigeration systems keep food cold or frozen. These are critical components of the hotel’s food service and it is paramount that no system be taken out of service. With a view to becoming more energy efficient, the hotel engaged Power Knot to treat its refrigeration systems and air conditioning units.
Power Knot’s distributor in India, Protronix Energy, working with Kool Nest Pvt Ltd treated a packaged unit air conditioner with the Power Knot Synthetic Refrigerant Additive at Freedom Garments Showroom in Bangalore. After treatment, the system was operating quieter and more efficiently. This was a proof of concept (POC) that impressed the experienced technicians at Kool Nest and demonstrated real benefits of the Synthetic Refrigerant Additive (SRA).
Power Knot’s salesman in Hawaii treated the refrigerant system in his car with SRA. After treatment, the a/c unit is able to cool the car faster and the fuel economy is improved by 8%.
